After launching Coleman Cables factory in Sagamu, the CEO, Onafowokan is now responsible for 80% of installed wire and cables production in Nigeria. Along with Cutis Cables, Nigeria is producing 70% of the wires, cables in west Africa. Coleman does 48,000 metric tonnes of copper.
Mr. George O.K. Onafowokan is the Managing Director and CEO of Coleman Cables. According to the company’s website, he is a holder of Accounting and Finance BA (Hons) from Manchester Metropolitan University, Manchester UK, and also a Master Degree in Management and Information Systems (Combined) from University of Salford, U.K. He worked for 2 years with Packard Bell UK as Field Manager, then joined PC World UK as Business Accounts Manager for 3 years. He has also worked with some International Financial Management and Trading firms in the United Kingdom.
He returned to Nigeria in 2002 to lead the team to restructure Coleman as Managing Director. He proved his business acumen and expertise by growing the Company’s assets turnover from N100Million in 2002 to over N15Billion by the end of 2014.
