A restaurant owner known as Matt Louis ran a marathon for hours on his treadmill to pay his staff salaries due to the lockdown caused by the pandemic, COVID-19.
Matt has been training for months when the Boston Marathon was postponed due to COVID-19. But on the initial marathon day, Matt ran the 26.2 miles on his treadmill to raise money for his employees.
Louis has 126 employees, many of which are unemployed at the moment.
Matt Louis, 40, said he’s been running his entire life, but this would have been his first Boston Marathon.
The event has been slated later for September 14 this year and he’s optimistic of winning the race in reality.
